You are invited to visit us at 2150 Camino del Sol  on Saturday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. or Sunday mornings at 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. for our weekly worship services:

  • The Saturday evening worship service is a contemporary praise service. Our Praise Team includes singers, piano, drummer, guitar and bass guitar.  Each Saturday following the Praise Service we invite you to stay for supper with fantastic food and fellowship ($5 per person suggested donation).
  • The Sunday 8:00 a.m. service is the Traditional service.*
  • The Sunday 9:30 a.m. service is a blended service.*
  • The Sunday 11 a.m. service is an old time Gospel Service with favorite hymns.*

*Food and fellowship are available in the fellowship hall throughout Sunday morning.

Our worship and ministry continues on the same schedule throughout the year.

Desert Hills Lutheran Church's 25th Anniversary Celebration
The 25th anniversary of this congregation was celebrated on the weekend of January 23 and 24.  The Bishop, Steven Talmage,  spoke, and our charter members as well as past and current pastors were given special recognition.

Sunday Reception: All members and guests enjoyed a special cake and coffee hour after the 8 am and 9:30 am services.  Photos were on display showing our history from early beginnings to the present.

ANNUAL GLOBAL MISSION : Saturday, February 13 at 5 pm and Feburary 14 at 8, 9:30 and 11 am

Luncheon at noon on Sunday, February 14: Chicken a la African (mild) Brown Rice, Corn Bread, and Dessert
                                     $3.00 Donation appreciated

Job Opportunities

Director of Connections. This position will be responsible for assimilating new and current members into the spiritual and social life of our church, helping members discover their spiritual gifts and matching them to areas of ministry that they have the greatest passion for, and developing small and large groups to nurture close relationships and spiritual growth. Desert Hills Lutheran Church is an active, growing congregation with an average weekly worshipping attendance of 800 people. DHLC is situated in a retirement community 20 miles south of Tucson, AZ. To sign up, simply sign the Response Sheet on the back of Sunday's bulletin or call the church office 648-1633. Classes run 6 weeks in the morning at 10 am or at 6:30 pm on Thursdays.
