Alpha at Desert Hills Lutheran Church - October 15

 What is AlphaWhat's the point of life?  What happens when we die?  Is forgiveness possible?  What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today?

More than 4 million people all over the world have completed the Alpha course during the last ten years in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons.  Alpha is an opportunity for anyong to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions.  It is low-key, friendly and fun - and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.  Why not take this opportunity to explore the meaning of life?

Alpha at Desert Hills -  beginning on Wednesday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m.  Nicky Gumbel will bring the continuation of his ALPHA course back to DHLC.  Based on Paul's letter to the Philippians, "A life Worth Living" is a practical and positive guide to achieving God's plan for your life by uncovering in us a new heart, new purpose, new attitude, and a new confidence to the way we live our lives.  Facilitator, Suki Kisling, will lead you through the DVD message by Nicky before breaking in to small groups.  The six week class will meet every Wednesday until November 19 and wrap up shortly before Thanksgiving.  Class dates are October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19, January 7, 14, and 21.  There's no homework involved, but lots of fellowship.  If you are interested in signing up or have questions about the course, please call lthe church office.
