Surviving the Holidays When You Are Grieving
The holiday season can be an incredibly difficult time when you are mourning the loss of a loved one. To help our community navigate the empty seats, triggers, and complex emotions of the season, we invite you to attend the GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays seminar on Sunday, November 15, from 2 to 4 pm. This supportive, two-hour event features a video presentation with practical advice from grief counselors, followed by a comforting small-group discussion with others who understand your pain. Each participant will also receive a Holiday Survival Guide booklet with over 30 days of readings, coping strategies, and tools to help you create a manageable holiday plan. Through the program, you will learn how to honor your grief, set healthy social boundaries, and decide which traditions to keep, alter, or pause.
