Exercise is an important part of our lives, helping us to stay fit and active. At Desert Hills Lutheran Church, we offer a variety of exercise groups to choose from so you can find the class that best fits your needs. These groups are free of charge, and everyone is welcome.
The Health and Wellness Committee consists of volunteer health professionals and other members to foster health, healing, and caring for the church community through education, well-being, and illness prevention, rather than through “hands-on” physical care. They are committed to promoting health and wholeness of body, mind, and spirit of our faith community, and its individual members, and making a difference in serving those outside the congregation. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from 9 – 10 am. Please check the church calendar for healthy living seminars and other events.
TOPS is all about connection and support. They offer a simple program that helps people physically, mentally, and emotionally in an accepting, non-judgmental environment on a weekly basis. There is a group that meets at Desert Hills Lutheran Church every Thursday from 8 – 9:30 am. Please visit their website (tops.org) to learn more about their program.
