“Not being able to get out as easily as I once could due to my illness was weighing heavy on my heart on a Wednesday morning, then I received a phone call that afternoon from a church member who had flowers for me,” one member shared. “Not only did they bring me a beautiful boutique with a special note to brighten my day, but they also spent some time chatting with me. What a God moment when I needed it most!” Another member expressed, “The prayers and flowers from the church brightened my day and helped with my healing after surgery. What a lovely program!”
Did you know there is a great ministry at Desert Hills Lutheran Church that takes the beautiful flowers from weekend services and makes them into smaller bouquets to share with people who need a smile? These flowers that "heard" the hymns sung, prayers offered, and sermon preached arrive to let people know that their church family prays they will be blessed with faith, hope, health, and happiness. These "seeds" from God's Kingdom continue to give. “It was my 90th birthday!” a long-time member said. “I received a birthday card from the church in the mail earlier in the week, but then a friend came from Bible study and gave me a boutique of summer flowers from the church. I called my family and shared how special I felt.” Thank you to everyone who makes a difference in this ministry.
