There is nothing like a friend to guide your journey. John’s friend was visiting from California and wanted to attend Easter services.
“We knew we would attend a church; the question was which one,” John shared. “We decided on Desert Hills. It wasn’t a big religious transition from what we were used to in California.” Unbeknownst to his friend, he guided John on the next steps of his faith journey.
“The atmosphere hooked me. The pastor, the congregation, the Christ-centered messages, and the outreach had me. My wife and I have stayed here since. I felt welcomed and at home. Through Desert Hills, I have become more knowledgeable of my faith and the Bible and am willing to be involved. It has broadened me and made me closer to where I should be on my faith journey. I am not there yet, because it is a journey. But through Bible study, the activities, the people, the messages, and the pastors, I am on my way, and I plan to stay until the end. I even have a place in the columbarium.”
