Baffled? - Saturday 3 PM
Series:
Summary
This weekend, we examined a particularly confusing time for Peter. In just a few verses, Jesus praises him for his faith, stating that He would build His church on the solid rock of Peter. Then, Jesus calls Peter a follower of Satan. Instead of being the foundational rock, Peter becomes the rock that causes people to stumble. It is clear that Jesus' mission of salvation is not about conquering land or position, but rather a conquest of hearts, minds, and lives. Through His life and sacrifice, Jesus exemplifies a Savior who is willing to lay down His life for the people God has created. Today, may we be mindful that when we speak on behalf of our Lord, we do so with a sense of reverence and humility.
