Chaplain Mark Westrich will lead a one-day session to help those grieving the loss of loved ones during the holiday season, which could be filled with memories of happier past celebrations. The session is a stand-alone event with practical, hope-inspiring ideas, including:
- Why the holidays are so difficult
- How to plan for the season
- How to deal with holiday invitations
- Surviving “alone time”
- Dealing with emotional ambushes
- Managing strong emotions
- Creating new traditions while honoring your loved one’s legacy
We will hold our Surviving the Holidays event on Sunday, November 9, from 2 to 4 PM in the Overson Chapel. Reserve a spot for this event by contacting the church office at 520-648-1633 or visiting griefshare.org.
