Summary
This weekend, Jesus gives us a parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent out his servants to invite but those that he invited were too busy to bother to come. Jesus is talking to the group of people that have been invited to be part of God’s kingdom. Perhaps his hearers cannot believe that this one has the permission or ability to invite, so they decide to skip the party that Jesus is throwing. By their refusal to attend, the king opens the doors to invite all of his creation into the heavenly kingdom. Come and hear as we this weekend (and every weekend) accept Jesus’ invitation.
