Back to Where We Started - Sunday 8 AM
Series:
Summary
One of the main themes we discovered during our Time of Discovery was the profound sense of loneliness. Not only in our church community but in the community around us. This sense of loneliness does not discriminate based on age, as loneliness is experienced in all demographics with seniors and teenagers being the most affected. In 2 Corinthians, Paul is concerned not only with the spiritual concepts of faith but also with the community’s well-being. You must live at peace with one another and greet each other with the blessing of God. The great commission in Matthew is not only to share with others the promise of God, it is also to bring those outside into community. The Christian faith is always a faith lived and nurtured in community. In the beginning, God understood it was not good for us to be alone, not only for our sake but because loneliness will not serve God’s purpose. God’s purpose for creation is fulfilled in community.
And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Cor 13:11a
