Borrowers, Not Owners - Saturday 3 PM
Series:
Summary
Many of us have experienced the traumatic turmoil of “downsizing,” deciding what to keep and what to leave behind. In many cases, a lifetime of collecting and accumulating items gets packed into boxes to be given away or thrown out. Those who work at rummage sales, estate sales, or thrift stores can attest to the fact that items we once considered to be precious can become difficult to sell. How many hard feelings exist in families because someone thought they “deserved” something that never belonged to them in the first place? The reality is that we do not own anything; we are merely borrowing it for our time on this earth. Remember, as Jesus reminds us, that it is just stuff; what is important is our relationships with God and one another.
