Can't Stop the Wind - Sunday 8 AM

Just like the wind, God’s Spirit cannot be contained or claimed; it just is. In a world that likes to measure and categorize, God’s Spirit does not fit into any mold. When Luke writes about the coming of the Spirit in Acts, he emphasizes how life-changing and affirming that event was for the disciples. It drove them out into the street to proclaim the message that Jesus entrusted to them.

The amazing part of the Holy Spirit is that each one of us experiences the Holy Spirit differently. At times, we need the intensity of a gale-force wind to help us understand God’s presence. Other times, we simply need a gentle breeze of assurance. The beauty of it all is that there is no right or wrong way to experience God’s Spirit, as it all comes from God. We do not have to search for the Spirit of God; we are reminded of that gift in every breath that we take. So, breathe easy, for God is with you.
