Come and See - Sunday 8 AM
Series:
Summary
Sometimes, when we think about the calling of disciples, we think of Jesus standing on the shore, commanding Peter, James, and John to “Follow Me.” In this weekend’s reading, it is more of an invitation from Jesus to come, see, and be a part of what he is doing. The wonder of faith lies in the fact that there is no set formula for how Jesus connects with us. Sometimes we need that direct command, while other times, we are so surrounded by faithful people that we have no choice but to believe.
Our calling as followers of Jesus is not to convince people to believe; rather, it is simply to invite and let God’s Spirit do the work. I pray that you know that God, through his Son Jesus, is working through you, regardless of who you are. Find comfort in knowing that the invitation to “Come and See” is for all
