Summary
Jesus gave extra attention to those who were closer to him. We discover that Jesus had an inner circle of Peter, James, and John. Jesus also had what is known as the twelve disciples, but we know that he had more disciples than twelve as he sent out the seventy-two. Jesus invested in a limited number of people to have a greater impact, while at the same time modeled for them how to impact others. Jesus gave them access to his life and took them with him. They knew one another, served one another, and loved one another. They did life together.
