It's Not Fair - Saturday 3 PM

It's not fair! It's such a common saying in our world, not just from little kids. When we don't get our way, or something happens that we don't like, it often feels like our 'go-to' response. Our idea of fairness is deeply ingrained in our minds. This week's readings got right to the heart of our understanding of what is fair and right. We hear that God doesn't see things the way we do, and we are challenged to reconsider our idea of what is 'right' through the lens of God's grace, mercy, and compassion. Sometimes Scripture challenges us to look at one another and the world in ways that counter what the world tells us and to live as God calls us.
