Life Among the Weeds - Saturday 3 PM
Series:
Summary
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus shares the parable of the wheat and the weeds with his disciples. This parable raises two important questions. The first question is: Why does God allow evil in the world (represented by the weeds)? The second question is: What should we do about the weeds? Unfortunately, Scripture does not reveal to us the answer to the first question; it only reminds us of the existence of evil. However, Jesus does address the second question, explaining that in our attempt to rid our lives or the world of evil, we often result in harming the good (wheat). We may not always be able to discern what is truly good or evil, so we trust God’s justice to deal with evil when Jesus comes in judgment.
