More than a Coat - Saturday 3 PM

Series:

Summary

We have all heard that saying, “It will happen in God’s timing.” This weekend, we heard a part of the story of Joseph. His journey from a young, spoiled boy to a savior of God’s chosen people. It was a story of how God was always with him. In slavery, his owner saw that he had God-given gifts and so put him in charge of his household. When he was innocently thrown into prison, God blessed him, and soon he was in a leadership role. Because of Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams, he found himself in the Pharaoh’s court overseeing the distribution of food, saving the Egyptian people as well as having food to feed his father Jacob and all his brothers, his sister, and their families. One of the advantages of age is that we can look back and see how God has been working in our lives. Know that, like Joseph, we are always growing in the knowledge that God is walking with us and guiding us in ways we do not understand but can only trust. As you think back, remind yourself of those times and thank God for them.
