More Than Faith - Saturday 3 PM
Series:
Summary
The challenge that Thomas issued to the gathered disciples on that Easter night about needing proof was answered in a meaningful way. The other disciples could not convince him, but Jesus could. As a pastor, I always marvel at how Jesus will do everything possible to help us believe in Him. In our reading, Jesus goes straight to Thomas, and, in a caring way, He invites Thomas to touch and see. Sometimes, we need that kind of assurance. When we find ourselves wondering if Jesus really cares, we can relate to Thomas’s situation, saying, “Where are you?” or “I need you.” The joy of Easter is that the tomb was empty and that Jesus is alive in our hearts and in our world. Even when we do not “see” Him, we know He is with us. Cherish the message of Easter and hold it close to your heart.
