Summary
Unlike Matthew’s Sermon on the Mount, Luke presents Jesus’ teaching about God’s Kingdom on a level plain; reminding us that we are all equal in God’s Kingdom and love. In Luke, Jesus lays out for us the characteristics and values one lives by to participate in God’s Kingdom. These values are far different from the values of the world. Jesus invites us to live these new values not based upon demand or law but through God’s love for us in Jesus.
