Summary
Moses is at Mount Sinai, where he receives the Ten Commandments from God. The giving of these commandments begins with a reminder that the one who gives them is their God, the one who brought them out of Egypt, the land of slavery. These commandments are not given by some random god or by a god they do not know, but by God, who has been intimately involved with them and their ancestors.
