Seventy Times Seven - Saturday 3 PM

Series:

Summary

Forgiveness is difficult. When someone wrongs us, we hold grudges and often want to retaliate or make them aware of how much they hurt us. We might think, "They don't deserve my forgiveness." This past weekend, Jesus shared the parable of a man who owed a king a great sum of money. The man pleaded for mercy, and the king forgave him his massive debt. However, as soon as he left, he encountered someone who owed him a small amount. When that man pleaded for mercy, the one who had just been forgiven refused to show forgiveness and had him thrown into prison. The king found out and challenged the man, saying, "I gave you mercy and forgiveness, yet you did not extend that to another." Jesus reminds us that our forgiveness came at a great cost. We are forgiven because of His death on the cross. Today, live your life reflecting and knowing the forgiveness Jesus first gave you.
