The End of an Era - Sunday 8 AM

Series:

Summary

This past weekend, we heard how the Assyrians conquered the Northern Kingdom, resulting in the enslavement of ten tribes of Israel, which were lost to history and often referred to as the “lost” tribes of Israel. In a culture that places immense importance on identity and ancestry, their loss was about more than simply a loss of land; it was a loss of self. Yet, in the middle of their exile, God never abandoned them. He sent prophets to encourage these people not to lose hope. Sometimes, in our lives, we feel that God is not listening or has abandoned us. Throughout scripture, the message is consistent and clear: God goes to great lengths to show how much He cares for His children. Remember that you can never build a wall or ditch between you and God that God cannot simply kick down or step over.
