This weekend’s readings are all about prayer. The topic of prayer can bring up many questions. Are there certain ways we are supposed to pray? How does God answer my prayers? What am I supposed to do when the answer is no? Are there things I shouldn’t pray for, and what if I am unable to pray? At some time in our journey of faith, most of us struggle with one or more of these questions about prayer. In this weekend’s gospel, what is Jesus trying to teach us about prayer? Could Jesus be offering us an invitation into a deeper relationship with God, giving us more than guidelines on the how and whys of prayer?
