The Parable of the Lost Sheep and Lost Coin - Sat, Sept. 10, 2022

Series:

Summary

The parable of the lost sheep and lost coin is very familiar to most Christians. Perhaps so familiar we tune them out when they are read in worship. Let's not do that this week!! Listen carefully to what Jesus is saying and why he is saying it. What message do these parables have for us 2000 years after they were told? After all, most of us are not sheep herders and certainly don't worry about losing a coin or two. And what character in the passage of Luke 15:1-10 do we more closely resemble? Come to worship open to all that these parables mean for us as we live out our lives in this time and place.

Dig Deeper:

Consider the many ways you have been lost and how God has rescued (found) you. Having experienced God's grace, how are you called this week to be God's presence in this world for others who might be lost?
