Summary
This weekend, we heard of how God blessed Jacob in many ways. Yet it was not that Jacob was so great; it was that God was so great. When we acknowledge that it is God who has given us abilities to serve, we, too, have that sense of humbleness. A humility to know that it is all God and not us. Listening to the story of Jacob, we can see that God was working through him to create a lasting covenant with all humanity. A humanity filled with flaws but still loved by God. I pray that you never feel that you are beyond the grace that comes from God’s Son.
