Summary
Shepherds were out in their fields at night. We all know that part of the Christmas story, and one is not surprised that they were out in their fields at night. Night can be a dangerous time for vulnerable animals, ones that need a shepherd to guard them. They are fulfilling their responsibility when the angels show up to reveal the news of a birth. Not any birth, but a birth that will usher in peace and joy for them and the world. This weekend, we looked through the eyes of the shepherds.
