Summary
After a warning from the prophets and the destruction of the northern kingdom, the southern kingdom of Judah also fell. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came and destroyed not only the city of Jerusalem but also the temple of God. What were the people to think? How could God allow this to happen? What would this mean for their future, and would God go with them into a foreign land? The exile raises many questions for the people of God, and these same questions arise when disasters strike our communities or our lives.
