Who is This? - Saturday 3 PM
Series:
Summary
This weekend marks the beginning of Jesus’ last days before his crucifixion, as he enters Jerusalem riding two donkeys instead of one. This fulfills both the prophecy by Judah described in Genesis 49:9–11, a key passage in Jewish messianic expectation, and Zechariah 9:9, which describes the messiah as riding in on a donkey, specifically the colt of a donkey. In Matthew, Jesus fulfills both prophecies; therefore, Jesus is both the Messiah they have been waiting for and a new kind of King—humble and coming in peace.
